Features
The DPSS (Diode Pumped Solid State UV) laser represents the highest quality solution in the world of laser marking.
Ultraviolet light is light with a wavelength shorter than that visible to humans; in fact, violet is the last color on the scale perceived by the human eye.
The key feature of these lasers is the short wavelength between 150 and 400 nm. This characteristic allows them to interact with the chemical and physical characteristics of materials and to operate even on tiny areas and focused spots, guaranteeing a perfect result and a clean surface.
Technology
The Arca DPSS UV laser marker is a diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) Nd:YAG Q-Switch laser that uses duplicating crystals to change the infrared wavelength of 1064 nm to the ultraviolet wavelength of 355 nm.
The beam shape is Gaussian, so the spot is round the energy intensity gradually decreases from the center toward the edge. The beam can be focused on spot sizes on the order of 10 µm.
UV laser marking is cold marking because the ultraviolet light breaks the bonds between the atoms and molecules of the material, preventing the material from heating up, creating a HAZ thermal effect zone.
Applications
The DPSS UV laser marker guarantees perfect results for markings on medical plastics for invasive applications, fireproof plastics for electronic components, or glass components. Pharmaceutical, medical and cosmetics companies use UV laser markers to deter product tampering and counterfeiting, helping to ensure brand protection and product traceability.

Machine enabling controlled by key switch.
Emergency button circuit complete with interruption and protections control circuit with interlock system. Both circuits are equipped with their own safety module (Pilz-Pnoz) with dual redundant channels and mandatory reset.
The modules are certified up to performance level “PL-e” according to EN ISO 13849-1 and SIL CL 3 according to EN/IEC62061.
A single multifunction industrial connector (I/O), allows the optimal management of all machine states and condition of the alarm.
Control unit
The control unit with main switch and status LED in an ergonomic position, can be fixed on a column or placed in a horizontal (desktop) or vertical (tower), thanks to the arrangement of the supports, for the smoothest integration with the production line.
Support structure
Bench support structure for laser marker, with position adjustment above the product to be marked, for optimum focus.
Class 4 “entry level” solution Complete with vertical adjustment with ball screw and horizontal adjustment (both with millimeter references). The support surface is pre-drilled for easy positioning of any templates.
